    • Avoid excess sun exposure, including tanning beds for 1 week before treatment, and use SPF 30 or greater daily to ensure coverage against UVB and UBA rays.

    • Do not use any type of exfoliants 2 days before treatment.

    • Refrain from any chemical peels or lasers for 2 weeks prior.

    • Discontinue use of Tretinoin type products (Renova, Tretinoin, Retin A, Retin A Micro, Tri-Luma, Solage, etc.) at least 2 days before treatment.

    • Discontinue use of Hydroquinone 2-3 days before treatment.

    • If you have a history of cold sores, begin prophylactic treatment with Valtrex or similar no later than the day of treatment.

    • Notify the center if you develop a cold sore, acne, open lesions in the area being treated, or experience any type of illness before your treatment.

    • Wait 2 weeks after Botox and filler treatments to have a HydraFacial treatment.

    • Botox and filler may be done on the same day, but only after HydraFacial treatment.

  • Hydrafacial™ is the only hydradermabrasion treatment that combines cleansing, extraction and hydration simultaneously, resulting in clearer, more beautiful skin with no downtime.

The treatments are soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and generally non-irritating. As with most treatments, visible results from Hydrafacial will vary from person to person.

What to Expect During and Immediately After Treatment

    • Your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.

    • You may experience tingling and stinging during the treatment area. These sensations generally subside within three hours of treatment.

    • Client experiences may vary. Some people may experience a delayed onset of the previously mentioned symptoms. Contact us immediately if any unusual side effects occur or if symptoms worsen over time.

    Next Steps

    • You will likely see results immediately after treatment and your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for one to four weeks. For improved, longer lasting results, consider take-home products and monthly Hydrafacial treatments.

    • The treatment area is more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 40 sunscreen.

    • Aggressive exfoliation, waxing and products containing acids should be avoided in the treatment area for a minimum of two weeks pre- and post-treatment.

    • Avoid the use of Retin-A type products pre- and post-treatment.

Dermaplaning

    • Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or sunburn for at least 5–7 days.

    • Stop using retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acids, or exfoliating products for 3–5 days.

    • Do not wax, thread, or use depilatory creams on the face for 7 days.

    • Come with clean, makeup-free skin.

    • Let your provider know if you are on acne medication (Accutane, etc.) or have a history of cold sores.

    • If you have active breakouts, cuts, or open wounds, reschedule until healed.

    • Avoid direct sunlight, heat, saunas, or hot yoga for 48 hours.

    • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.

    • Do not use retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acids, or exfoliating scrubs for 3–5 days.

    • Keep skin hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.

    • Avoid makeup for 24 hours (if possible) to allow skin to recover.

    • Do not pick, scratch, or touch the treated area unnecessarily.

    • Use a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water for the first 24–48 hours.

Microneedling

book now →
  • Before your microneedling treatment, following the right pre-care routine is essential for optimal results.

    • Please discontinue products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc.) 24 hours before treatment.

    • Keeping your skin clean and hydrated in the days leading up to your session is an important part of microneedling pre-care, ensuring a smoother, safer treatment experience.

    • If you have a history of herpes or cold sores, we highly recommend a course of anti-viral medication pre and post treatment. This will prevent an outbreak of cold sores if you are prone to them. Cold sores can also break out on people who are not prone to them, but who have sensitive skin. If you would like us to call in a prescription for you, please call our offices.

  • Proper microneedling aftercare helps promote healing and enhances your results. Following these aftercare steps ensures that your skin heals properly, reducing the risk of irritation while maximizing the rejuvenating benefits of your treatment.

    Immediately Following Treatment:

    • Only apply recommended products to the skin for 6-8 hours after treatment.

    • Redness and/or swelling is common and will resolve within 1-2 days.

    • Do not pick, peel, rub, scrub or irritate your skin in any way while it is healing, as this may cause scarring.

    • Avoid heat, saunas, hot tubs and sweaty activity; this includes exercise of any kind.

    • Do not use an electric or manual facial brush or wash cloth of any kind (i.e. Clarisonic or something of the like).

    • Mineral make-up may be worn, however, we recommend leaving skin clean for this time period if possible.

    Days7+

    • You may resume your regular skin care routine as long as peeling/flaking has subsided. If you are still peeling/flaking, be patient and allow your skin the time it needs to heal before starting back on your routine.
